Lin Koop: PSWE Secretary

This is another installment of our “Meet the Board” series, where we feature our different board members. Today we feature the secretary of PSWE, Lin Koop.

1. What is your favorite part of SWE?

Two words: Kate Robinson (and Leann Demorest)! But also, there are a ton of awesome people in the organization. It’s great to be around like-minded people and establish a network across a wide variety of majors.thumbnail_pastedimage

2. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I had a slight obsession with dinosaurs. I wanted to be a paleontologist.

3. Do you have any tips for time management?

Eat at least 7 bananas a day for maximum efficiency. But seriously, best advice I have is to use your time wisely during the school day. Hammering out homework assignments during breaks helps to free up evenings and weekends.

4. Favorite color that isn’t listed in the colors of the rainbow (anything not included in ROYGBIV)?

I love orange! Can we shorten the rainbow acronym to RYGBIV?

5. Why Purdue?

Purdue has a great reputation as an engineering school. I felt like it fit my personality and boy was I right.

6. Do you have any fun plans for spring break?

I’m going with PSWE to the regional conference at University of Michigan, then heading to Florida to spend time with my family. Definitely looking forward to the home-cooked meals.
