(Note: This is the first post in a series that is meant to help you destress on Wednesdays.)

I know you have homework, midterms coming up, applications, interviews, and responsibilities swimming around in your head. I know the semester is picking up, and you’re busy. I  know you would give anything to have a Netflix marathon right now.

But the weather is beautiful. It’s sunny, bright, and breezy (and we all know we will be wishing for this in January). Take five minutes to go outside, sit in the grass, and think about nature. Think about the beauty of the trees. Think about the friends that you love. Think about your favorite food and the last time you enjoyed it, who you were with, and what you were doing. Think about your favorite place in the world and why you like it so much. And enjoy doing nothing. Your homework can wait five minutes.

“Sometimes, you need to step outside, get some air, and remind yourself of who you are and who you want to be.”

-Erin, your editor.
