Covering the Bases: SWE Annuals 2015

The Annual SWE Conference will be held from October 22nd to October 24th in Nashville, TN, and all Purdue SWE members are encouraged to apply. Not sure exactly what to expect? Read below to find out why this 3 day journey is one of the best benefits of being a SWE member.

The goal of WE15 is “Reach Out to Reach Up.” They want collegiate attendees to reach their career goals by experiencing all different aspects of the Annual Conference. A few are listed below.

 

Networking & Development:

Last year’s WE14 conference had over 8,000 attendees, a new record! There are numerous opportunities to meet other women in engineering through panels, lunches, and other activities throughout the weekend. Get to meet a global audience of women who are at all stages of their engineering careers.

Choose to attend hundreds of presentations focus on professional development, work-life balance and outreach to name a few. There are also panels, workshops, lightning talks, and technical tours to experience.

Career Fair:

Know you will need to look for a summer internship for next summer already? Want to get more information about some of the top graduate engineering programs in the country? Than the all day Career Friday on Friday is just for you. Talk to representatives from 300 companies along with seeing different displays of products. There’s tons of freebies throughout too!

The SWE Annual Conference in Nashville will provide an amazing experience for all attendees, newcomers or not. Hear amazing stories and inspiration stories from women VPs, CEOs, and other powerful leaders in industry. Meet people still continuing their journey towards becoming a successful woman in engineering.
