Last weekend, 101 Girl Scouts from around Indiana traveled to Purdue to experience a day in the life of an engineer.
Their day started off with a walk through Armstrong and a greeting from Girl Scout Day Chair, Karen McCormick.
Next, were three sessions: Penny Boats, Circuits, and Catapults
How many pennies can your aluminum boat hold?
Learning how to make electricity flow!
Catapult prototype building and product testing.
At the end of the day, the girls received an event patch for “Society of Women Engineers Girl Scout Day” to add to their vests.
