Yesterday, 63 PSWE and WIEP (Women in Engineering Program) members received company or program sponsored awards in the Thirty-Ninth Annual Women in Engineering Awards Banquet. These young women were recognized for their bold “women in engineering” committment and academic success, suggesting the banquet’s overall theme, “Freedom lies in being bold.”
Rhonda Hollingsworth (Rolling Technical Superintendent, Alcoa), the keynote speaker, commented on the meaning of “bold.” She stated that being bold “means many things,” but its what you “choose to do and the way you do it will define your boldness.”
On behave of PSWE, we would like to congratulate all award recipients and thank Ms. Hollingsworth for her wonderful, uplifting speech.
And remember, be bold!
